Meet Grant


 


Grant is the founder of Dorhout Retirement Services and has been helping retirees and pre-retirees throughout Omaha and surrounding communities plan for a confident retirement since 2005. Through his Discover How To Thrive In Retirement process, Grant focuses on developing customized retirement strategies designed around each client’s unique goals, priorities, and vision for the future.


Grant believes retirement planning should be about more than simply preparing for an ideal scenario. His approach emphasizes understanding the many factors that can impact retirement and creating a plan designed to help clients navigate the opportunities and challenges that may arise along the way. As an instructor of several local retirement courses, Grant also enjoys educating members of his community and helping them better understand the importance of preparing for their financial future.


A lifelong learner, Grant is committed to staying current on the evolving tools, strategies, and resources available in the retirement planning industry. He continually expands his knowledge so he can offer clients a variety of financial options and help develop retirement strategies tailored to their individual circumstances.


Grant believes every retiree deserves a retirement plan that reflects both their needs today and the future they want to create for themselves and their families. His goal is to help clients make informed financial decisions with clarity and confidence while building a strategy that supports the life they envision in retirement.


Outside of work, family and community are extremely important to Grant. He and his wife, Erika, enjoy spending time with their three children, Evan, Hunter, and Haley, as well as being active in their Omaha-area community. Grant also enjoys spending time outdoors and on the golf course, where he appreciates the opportunity to spend time with family, friends, and clients.


Grant is the co-author of the best-selling book, Modern Retirement Strategies: A Definitive Guide to Retiring Well. Grant is an investment advisor and holds a life and health insurance license with the State of Nebraska.
